Build the Plate Before Counting the Calories

Before you start counting calories, look at what is on your plate.

A healthy meal does not need to be perfect. It can be built from simple foods that give your body what it needs.

Try adding more vegetables, fruit, beans, whole grains, nuts, and healthy fats such as olive oil. These foods can help make meals more filling, colorful, and nourishing.

You do not need to follow the latest diet trend. You do not need strict food rules.

Start with one small change. Add vegetables to dinner. Choose fruit for a snack. Put beans in soup or salad. Try whole-grain bread or brown rice.

The overall pattern matters more than one meal.

Build a plate you enjoy and can make again tomorrow.
